Since the release of his first record with Roxy Music in 1972, Bryan Ferry has been internationally acclaimed as one of the most innovative and stylish musicians, songwriters and singers to emerge in pop and rock music. Widely regarded as the embodiment of the glamorous and romantic worlds evoked by his songs, Ferry is also lauded as an icon of sartorial and personal cool.

Throughout his career Bryan Ferry has combined American glamour with European sophistication; and in recent years this reputation has been brilliantly confirmed by both his tribute to the songs of Bob Dylan, ‘Dylanesque’, released in 2007, and ‘Olympia’ – a collection of new compositions and interpretations of songs by other artists, released in 2010.

A former student of Fine Art, and as involved in the visual aspects of his work as he is in the composition and performance of the music, Bryan Ferry has conceived and directed some of the most original, controversial and critically applauded album sleeve artwork of the last four decades. Most recently he has created a suite of portraits of the model and muse Kate Moss, who also appears on the cover of ‘Olympia’.

As an artist and musician, Bryan Ferry possesses the rare distinction of being regarded as both classic and timelessly contemporary – an accomplishment achieved by both his recordings with Roxy Music and the range and intensity of his solo albums.

Bermudian drummer Andy Newmark has been playing for Bryan Ferry for well over 2 decades in both ROXY MUSIC and on Bryan's solo work. Andy plays the drums on JEALOUS GUY - a live recording of a BRYAN FERRY concert held in LYONS, FRANCE in 2011.

Andy spent his early years in BERMUDA and played briefly with Bermuda's first rock 'n roll band THE SAVAGES and BERMUDA JAM, back in the late 60's.

Andy's connection with LENNON BERMUDA has been extensive having played the drums on many of the CD's tracks.

Andy lives near Faversham in Kent and is still sought after as one of the world's leading session and live gig drummers. Andy was the drummer on John Lennon's final record DOUBLE FANTASY.

Lennon wrote or completed most of the songs in BERMUDA in June & July of 1980.

Out of all the drummers in the world LENNON had to choose from, he choose "Bermuda Andy" to play drums on DOUBLE FANTASY.

Many of the artists on the record LENNON BERMUDA were backed on the drums by Andy Newmark including: PAUL CARRACK, NILS LOFGREN, JOHN "RHINO" EDWARDS, MIA CHAMBRAY, JONATHAN FRITH, CHRISTINA FRITH, K GABRIELLE, ROCKY & THE NATIVES & MICHAEL CACY.

During the 1980's Many artists performed in Bermuda at The 40 Thieves Club - the club John Lennon visited. Once again Andy Newmark was sitting in the drummers seat playing for Nils Lofgren and Paul Carrack during some amazing gigs in Bermuda at the famous 40 Thieves Club. It is truly amazing that the "stars aligned" with so many of the artists.

There is a "Connection" and "Karma" that links Bermuda, John Lennon and Andy Newmark and many of the artists on LENNON BERMUDA together!
