Maxi Priest loves the song, and in knowing the history, by recording this song he is saying, “I’m sending ALL MY LOVING to John Lennon"...
John was interviewed by Rolling Stone saying how great the song ALL MY LOVING was and how he played a mean guitar...
The Ed Sullivan Show
The very first song performed in the USA on February 9th 1964
by John, Paul, George & Ringo was ALL MY LOVING
They sang All My Loving, Till There Was You and She Loves You, in the first half of the programme, followed by an advertisement for Anadin. Ed Sullivan's other guests - Georgia Brown & Oliver Kidds, Frank Gorshin, Tessie O'Shea - followed, after which The Beatles performed I Saw Her Standing There and I Want To Hold Your Hand.
Lennon expressed his esteem for the song in his 1980 Playboy interview:
Lennon: "All My Loving" is Paul, I regret to say. Ha ha ha.
Playboy: Why?
Lennon: "Because it's a damn good piece of work....But I play a pretty mean guitar in back"
In the Bermuda Book
In a poignant moment, as Weiss rested on his gurney just outside the emergency room where doctors were working on Lennon, he heard soft Muzak being played on the hospital address system. The song was an instrumental version of the Beatles' "All My Loving."
