Phil Morrison started writing electronic music in the early 90’s and put out a number of singles on Bermuda radio under the name Scarfish. By the late 90’s the Scarfish sound had expanded into a 4 piece band and produced 2 albums: The Comfortable Machine and Scales and other Measures, before the band split in 2001. Phil went back to the electronic sound with Collaborations and singles under the names SF1, DJ Fluffy slippers, Bad Jelly and more recently Solarnaut with singer songwriter Mark Browne. Look for their album ‘Radios in Cars’ out this summer.

What does John Lennon mean to you?

John Lennon had the ability to reach people across cultural, spiritual and political divides. No matter what generation you were a part of when you heard John’s voice it felt like everyone in the room was listening.

Why Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds ?

To me Lucy in the Sky is the ultimate anthem. It invites you to let go, look around and enjoy the trip. The song is so surreal but the vocals and lyrics sound so honest that you feel like you’ve known about Lucy forever. We can all close our eyes and imagine we are there but the words will always be Johns.
